When it comes to setting up bifolds, everybody has a unique set of needs for what they want installed. Depending on how wide the opening in your home is, we can make your bifold door with anywhere from two to seven panels. These panels have the option of opening outwards, which is the usual option, or inwards, and you can choose whether they slide to the left or to the right. There are also different places that the door can open from, depending on how many panels your door is made up of. Firstly, if your bifold is made up of more than three panels, you can have the door open in the middle. Secondly, there is the option of having all but one panel slide across, and if your bifold has seven panes, you can also have all but two panels slide across. Finally, every panel that makes up the door can slide across to the other side when opened.
To improve ventilation you can choose to have trickle vents, which allow you to benefit from fresh air without having to open the window itself, which is also a security benefit as well as reducing noise from outside. Homes nowadays generally have higher quality sealing and insulation, which has an inverse effect on ventilation. There is also less chance of condensation or mould developing. This is why trickle vents are currently such a good addition to the doors and windows in your home.
Colour Options
Our standard colours are black, white, and anthracite grey, however we also do doors in a wide range of RAL colours: whether you’re looking for a bright shade of red, green or yellow to make your doors stand out, or a more subdued tone for a more homely feel. If you’re looking to get your bifolds to match both the interior and exterior of your house, we can put a different colour on either side. Additionally, if you want blinds installed inside the glass of your doors, we can install those in white, silver, grey, or black. There are also similar options for door handles.
